Application of production wastes as an alternative environmentally safe fuel
Sasiporn oil applies sunflower husk as the primary fuel instead of natural gas and fuel oil previously used at processing plants of Turkey’s oil and fat industry thereby reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Thus, the Company makes its contribution to the global program of preserving environmentally friendly living conditions on the planet.
By burning wastes from vegetable oil production (sunflower husk), the Company generates water steam providing the operation of technological equipment as well as the domestic needs of the factory.
During the construction of my own boiler shop, the preference was given to modern equipment with innovative process technologies of fuel combustion and flue gas purification using electrostatic cleaners, which allow for meeting the requirements of modern standards.
Purification of spent air and production wastewater using modern technologies
Along with the fabrication of high-quality and safe products, the Company has set a goal to preserve the environment at the production sites without the negative impact caused by production wastes. Therefore, the wasteless production layout was selected during the factory design and construction.
All technological processes that use atmospheric air (cleaning of raw materials, fractionation of semi-finished products at the dehulling department, cooling of semi-finished products and oil meal) are accompanied by mandatory cleaning and decontamination of spent air using integrated suction plants of the world’s leading brands. The aspiration cleaning system underwent commissioning and successfully operates according to schedules of planned cleaning and preventive maintenance.
To achieve the specified performance of treating industrial wastewater by COD, BOD, suspended solids, and detergents, the three-stage purification system was designed and put into operation. It implements modern technologies (application of centrifugal force for the first time) of sludge dewatering with the help of special equipment manufactured by a leading global producer. This technology allows efficient separation of sludge and significantly saves production space.
To minimize costs and manage production activity at the factory efficiently, the system is installed to account for the consumption of water, power energy, and treated industrial and sewage effluents.
